WHAT ABOUT FUNDING?

It is essential that adequate ongoing funding is available to establish and maintain a   scheme and to provide continuity both for families and for the volunteers. Core funding is needed to cover:

The Coordinator's salary 

bullet

Administrative costs

bullet

Rent, telephone, insurance, postage and stationery

bullet

Preparation Courses

bullet

Volunteer's out-of-pocket expenses

bullet

Project equipment and publicity

bullet

Annual fee to Home-Start National (Affiliation fee for Training, Information and Guidance)

Mostly

bulletSchemes in New South Wales are funded under the Families First NSW
bulletIn Victoria the ABERCARE Home-Start program is funded under the Commonwealth Government.
